Context

Pillaud’s epistemological observation: agriculture has historically been a domain of accumulated certainty (plant this variety, expect that yield). AI in agriculture introduces probabilistic outputs (yield forecast with confidence intervals; weed-detection with accuracy rates). Pillaud is naming that this is a real cultural shift for farmers and for the systems that serve them. The implication: deployment has to design for that shift, not assume it.
