Context
Pillaud’s framing of the cooperative / commons response to the funding-model critique (his “unicorns do not exist in agriculture” position). The cooperative / mutual model is a historical French / European tradition (Crédit Agricole, wine cooperatives, agricultural mutual insurance). Pillaud is explicitly drawing on that tradition. The GAIA project (Generative Artificial Intelligence for Agriculture) is the operational expression of this.
